Johnstone's Trade Smooth Metal Paint is a primer and top coat in one. A solvent-based gloss finish, it can be applied directly to bare, previously painted or rusted surfaces. It offers up to 5 years of protection, longer than a regular maintenance cycle with other similar products on the market. Rich in anti-corrosive properties whilst maintaining excellent adhesion attributes, the Johnstone's Trade Smooth Metal Paint doesn't require a primer as it can be applied onto corroded surfaces and provides good resistance to water, humidity, hot salt spray and UVA. Particularly suitable for renovation of corroded substrates after the manual removal of loose layers of rust, it can also be used on steel cast iron and other steel elements.
